Profile and History
Silvestris Aquamotive, founded in 2005 by Drs. Maarten de
Bruijn, ir. Jan Willem Schoenmakers and ing. Leon Vergunst.
They have worked together since 2000, when they launched
and developed the now world-famous Spyker Cars Company.
In the wake of that success the same team started a new
venture developing an innovative, fully aluminum speedboat,
named the Silvestris Aquamotive 23’ Sports Cabriolet. The first
prototype was successfully built and tested in the same year.
A second, even more technologically advanced prototype during
2007. The technical development of the space-frame and hull
was successfully concluded in 2007 and the CE certification for
Coastal Waters has since been granted.
Following that, pre-marketing activities were initiated by exhibiting the speedboat at prestigious shows throughout Western Europe, including The Amsterdam Millionaire Fair,
The Monaco Yacht Show, the Cannes Boat Show, Salon Prive London and a variety of other luxury lifestyle events.
